“Celebrating Cabaret” by the Kakar sisters (3.5/5)

The Hindu November Music Fest

Oooh! Almost a live cabaret show complete with sexy dancing..

Nostalgia, artistry and sensuality combined to create a heady mix!

Hindi-speaking folks would have enjoyed it much better than someone like me.

Voices like clear & cool flowing streams

During a concert, in order to fully soak in the sound, it is better to fully relax and be still. Close one’s eyes, breathe deeply and taste the music with your whole being……

Naad Ninaad Jugalbandi: Ustad Shahid Parvez Khan & Ustad Rashid Khan (3.5/5 – Hit)

The Hindu November Music Fest 2016

Bengali:

“Naad Ninaad” – Shout-shout/noise-noise

“Gharana” – genre

Hindi:

“Jugalbandi” – duet

Urdu:

“Ustad” – teacher

I would never miss the Indian Classical session in a music fest.

I want to acquire the taste…

The sitar sounded as if two people were playing in tandem!

There is a huge difference between experiencing a live performance and listening to recorded music

Soak/immerse/drown/sweep/float/fly/sink……….

WOW… I never saw my own country as so beautiful!

Why don’t I see ‘this’ when I am ‘in it’??

Hmmm… sometimes we need the illusion to open our eyes to reality.

How the body/skin feels in a particular situation affects (even determines) how one perceives/sees the surroundings.

But of course… living in this place is far less romantic than being a visiting tourist-photographer…!?
