Whereas the individual who is lower down the hierarchy can be more ‘selfish’! Since the domain of authority of those higher up is large, & thereby includes other (smaller) persons, they cannot exercise unrestrained control over even what is ‘theirs’…

When I (seek/try to) follow what someone else believes is right/best (for all), without being convinced of its truth/validity, it becomes a curse for me!
